Costa Rica Finca Los Angeles


Background Info:

Our first Costa of the year from our recent trip out there, this amazing coffee comes to us from Finca Los Angeles (like we weren’t going to buy coffee from this farm?).  Mr. Calderon, the producer, is a second generation farmer, growing coffee from 1700 – 2200 MASL. He won the Cup of Excellence in 2011 and the quality of the coffees from his farm were amazing. As with many Costa Rican producers, he has a very nice micro-mill (Beneficio Los Angeles) where all his coffees and processed. One thing we loved was how many different varieties of coffees he was growing. The guy has so many different coffees, it was hard to choose. But choose we did. This particular lot was a washed coffee of the Catuai variety.

Pecan pie and apricot. Buttery mouthfeel.
