This fantastic coffee comes from Planadas, in Tolima, where the producers have been making changes to improve the quality and consistency of their coffees through better tree care, picking better cherries and investing profits into the farm infrastructure. The coffee is mostly of the Caturra variety, grown between 1,600 and 2,000 MASL, and semi-shaded by beautiful plantain trees. The it’s washed and dried on raised beds. It’s also certified organic and will soon be certified by the Rain Forest Alliance. We found this coffee late last year on our first ever trip to Colombia.
