The juicy Kenya hails from an Old British estate that established the Yara and Windrush names (we had Windrush earlier this year!). Both coffees are under the same family of factories under the Gatatha coop. The estate was given to the community after Independence and the coop inherited some impressive processing equipment. The coffees are all grown in Kiambu county.
Varietals include SL28, SL 34 and Ruiru 11, fully washed and grown at about 1600 MASL and up.
This cup is incredibly clean and juicy. We get hints of all kinds of red fruits with grapefruit acidity.
