We got a new coffee that you need to try! It’s our Guatemala Finca Santa Ana. It has tasting notes of strawberries, pears, grapes, and sweet tea. Located in the highest part of Pueblo Nuevo Viñas in Santa Rosa, just an hour south of Guatemala City, Finca Santa Ana has become an award winning farm for its quality and unique coffee profile. Finca Santa Ana has been featured eight times in COE through the years, something that makes second generation farmer, Fernando Díaz, very proud. The farm grows a mix of varietals, between Catuaí and Pache with smaller plots of Borbón. Drying is done in about eighty percent on raised beds, a new development implemented during the past harvest. Twenty percent is still done exclusively on patios. Finca Santa Ana is located 50kms from the ocean and receives every day a marked influence from the tides of the Pacific, making it warm during the day, and cool in the afternoons when the tide comes in. Altitude goes from 1500 to 1750 meters. This lot is pretty amazing as it’s all Red Catuai. We bought the entire production of this coffee (10 bags in all). So it’s exclusive to us, and a direct trade. #directtrade #directtradecoffee #coffee #Guatemala
