This is a really special microlot from our friends over at Sicafe in El Salvador. They grew a small bit of a Costa Rican varietal in their famous San Cayetano farm and we scooped it all up. This is one of the things we love about them and their approach to coffee - they're always experimenting, growing unique varietals and finding ways of advancing what they do every year. We're very pleased with this coffee - we get a lot of the smooth, silky notes we love in Costa Ricans, but with the added citrusy notes we love in El Salvadorian coffees.
A very floral and fragrant cup on the nose, we get a lot of mild fruits like pears with a cashew-butter sweetness and body.
