A peaberrry from Kenya? Yes please. This gem from Kiambu County comes to us from the Karinga Coffee Factory, part of a co-op with 500 active members. Being a forward-thinking washing station, they take the waste water and funnel it into soak pits, which return the water into the soil.
These peaberries are of the Ruiru 11, SL 28 and Batian varieties, grown at a stunning 1840MASL.
We get a mouthful of grapefruit notes and black currant.
