Our first Ethiopian of the year!
This coffee from Yirgacheffe is an absolute fruit bomb. Grown at 1700-2200 MASL, the cherries are dried on raised beds and hand sorted every 45 minutes while drying. This ensures a really clean cup. 1800 local farmers provide cherries for this coffee, all Ethiopian Heirloom varietals.
Training is provided to the farmers emphasizing processing, the reusing of the organic materials, fertilization, and water sanitation.
We get a mouthful of blackberry, blueberry and jolly ranchers in this cup.
