Suku Batak is a fantastic coffee from Sumatra with all the bits we like in an Indonesian coffee (sweet, nutty, a nice woody/earthy note) without any of the drawbacks (tasting dirty, muddled and rough). This is a completely sun-dried coffee, grown around Lake Toba in the Lintongnihuta area to the south and Seribu Dolok area to the east. It is a double picked preparation with a little wider classification.
This Wet-Hulled lot is made up of ripe red cherries, picked during the early morning hours. They are pulped in the late afternoon then fermented for 8-24 hours.
